Mit Tourette Durch Polen

With Tourete AcrossPoland

With Tourette Across Poland– an initiative against exclusion of vulnerable groups from the society, organised within Citizens for Democracyprogramme, financed by NGO grants.

The main aim of the project is to prevent exclusion of people with TS and their relatives, who are discriminated and experience difficulties as a result of the disorder. The project is based on the principle that the community work (such as self-help and counselling), raising awareness in the society, professional training sessions for volunteers and experts (including teachers and doctors) will lower the risk of exclusion.

The activities will be carried out acrossPoland. The participants include people with TS, their families and those who come across TS at the workplace or in the community. The project will be implemented across the whole country, in both urban and rural areas in the Partnership with many Polish organisations and one fromNorway.

Trained volunteers will work locally, giving talks, organising self-helpand team building workshops, aiming to improve a quality of life for people with TS and enable them to get engaged within the society.

Tourette-Syndrom
